"Lame Duck's Third Down Play"
A Gentleman's Dog
"Tres"
 "Tres" pointing
"Tres" with goose
I call him "Tres" He points, he rides on the 4-wheeler and watchs the pointers and is used to flush the birds as soon as the guns are in place. He has worked about 20,000 pheasants and retrieved most of them. The other dogs do get some.  He is an awesome goose hunting dog either in the field where we dig holes and cover up he will get in the hole between my legs or in a blind at the waters edge he is steady to wing and shot. Great on dove hunts as well as teal and duck hunts. I have used him walking with pointers on quail hunts where he often points.  He sleeps on the bed. Whelped Jan 6, 2000. His grand sire is the 1991 International gun dog champion, "1991 NFTCH Pocklea Remus". His dam is a full litter mate to the 1996 National Champion "NFC/AFC Storm's Riptide Star". In 1986 his grand sire "FC/AFC Rippin Blue Thunder" sold for $50,000. in 1991 "Rip" was the high point open dog winning 8 open all age field trials and as far as I know he is the only dog in history to win 8 in one season. "Rip" was the "Purina" dog of the year in 1991. "Tres" is a World Class dog and I want a big price.
$12,000.00. You can't buy this kind of experience. Big name field trial dogs don't see the amount of birds that "Tres" has handled. When I use him as a flusher I use 7 other dogs. He works in a crowd. Birds don't fall two far for him to retrieve. Often retrieving birds at over a half a mile. Why would I sell my dog, My Buddy! I have others and my "A" team is all 8 years old and one day it will catch up with me and "Tres" is at the top of his game and he should be good for about 4 more seasons. I don't want to sell him, but I will, and I know that someone that will buy him will take care of him. I have done this before.
